About the Illustrator
Deborah Carney has been doing commissioned artwork for about 25 years. She has been commissioned to paint everything from a private plane to a mobile home and of course, many dogs, cats and horses. She has placed high in several statewide competitions and has done One-Woman shows.
Deborah is a self-taught artist who has been influenced by artists such as Robert Bateman, Andrew Whyth, Ken Davies, and Raymond Harris-Ching. Deborah is also an avid photographer, and as she is as fascinated with shapes, shadowing and texture on the canvas she is as equally fascinated with these traits in her photography.
Deborah’s artwork has been presented on the cover of magazines, used in logos, and has been featured in newspapers.
